hi everyone I'm Kathy product manager here at edlio today I'm going to show you how to quickly get started using the school news out first I'll show you how parents can download the app and then I'll show you how to share information with them through download the app parents and Guardians go to the app store or Google Play on their phone search for School News by at Leo and install open the app next search for your school or District and add parents with children in different schools can add more edlio powerschools to the app so they can get all the schools updates in one place in order to receive push notifications parents should also go to alerts enable alerts on their phone website administrator at events and news to your website as usual for example here I've added a new story and an event you can see both of these on the website in the app parents can see both news and events available on your website and can read the full story and get event details because I want to make sure parents see the news right away I'm also going to send it out as a push notification to parents who have the app go to announce app alerts create a new alert add a brief message and I'm also going to add a link to the new story after sending parents received the alert as a push notification that opens up the app when tapped hear they can read the full message and open up your link as you update your website your events a news will continue to display in the app at any time your parents can also go in and see your school information that concludes our demo of the school news app by edlio thank you for watching
